About me

The early years of music

I started playing the drums when i was six years old, after watching a live recording of a Meat Loaf concert and thinking the drummer was the coolest person on the stage. Throughout primary school i was tutored by the music teacher during breaks. I would play the drums for hours everyday after school. During my last year in primary school i wanted to learn how to play the keyboard and so my music teacher tutored me during my breaks again for the keyboard.

First experiences

When i was thirteen i went with a friend of mine to an audition she had for a new group called Unsolved Youth. She played her audition and the day after was offered the position of keyboardist. When she joined them, she informed me they were looking for a drummer and so i asked if i could audition. I played for them and was offered the position straight after. We jammed together for a bit and did a few garage recordings. We even played at TWO local venues performing mainly covers but then we broke up. For the next three years i was in quite a few bands that suffered the same fate. In 2014 i got a phone call from my friend saying that Unsolved Youth were talking about getting back together and i agreed to meet them. After a few chats we decided we were going to start playing together again. We started recording our jams and they were sent off to a few local record labels. We signed to SNPsoundhouse and recorded a full studio album and two EP's before we left as our contract ended and we didn't want to stay with that label. When the contract ended a few band members left to go to university and we had to replace them. When the replacements came in, the dynamic of the band changed and i ended up leaving shortly after due to that.

My production adventure

In 2019, i started a solo adventure but couldn't find any quality beats for all of the songs i had written, so i decided to start making my own beats. I went out and bought a basic setup and started creating. Thankfully due to my knowledge of music creation through Unsolved Youth, alongside been able to play the drums and keyboards, music production came quite easily to me. I sold my first instrumental within two hours of it been uploaded online. Throughout lockdown i got the opportunity to work on music and learn and improve literally every single day. I am now lucky enough to produce tracks and write songs for multiple great artists and love every adventure i get to go on with my clients. in 2021 i created my own label JadedCadence to make the publishing journey easier for any aspiring new artists that i am working with.
